Paul, I'm not sure from your column what you think should have happened here. It seems clear that there was a scandal and someone made a quick judgment call to try to steer their company clear of the fallout. After all, even if they had nothing to do with it (I don't know if that is the case), could readers be expected to make the distinction? They didn't lie and didn't deny doing business with the company in question. So do you blame them for pulling the references from their website? If so, does the reposting mitigate their fault?
