Yesterday we heard from Jim Forbes, a retired tech journalist, who reported from a San Diego-area fire shelter on how his fellow evacuees and the technology at their disposal were holding up.
Today, Forbes has returned to his mountaintop home, from which the fire has backed off. Here's his Day 2 report.
