Juniper stepping it up to take on Cisco

Everybody selling network gear claims to be taking on Cisco. Juniper is no exceptoin with its new push for enterprise business by highlighting the functionality that its range of corporate networking gear can deliver, especially now with the introduction of its EX switches. The big difference in Juniper making this claim is that Juniper is not a cash-poor startup with no track record. In fact, it is a well established and respected vendor that already picked Cisco's pocket of about a third of its carrier routing business. The company has also brought in a new team of key players that know how to play in the multi-billion dollar leagues. Juniper's challenge is worth watching.
