I sense that you are skeptical of the synergies of Telenetix and Access Line. So am I. I gave the acquisition a 50% score (poor) when it was announced almost a year ago in November 2007. Synergies are too subtle for this stage of the telepresence service market.

Adding a $600 analog cellular gateway to one of these packages and you strengthen disaster recovery (last mile cellular), reduce cell costs by 20% or more (by converting the 30% to 70% of business cell traffic from field to office and office to field from paid pooled minutes to mobile to mobile traffic) and enhance customer interaction by maximizing whatever degree of FMC the phone system provides by making that activity M2M. Thankfully the PBX makers and carriers are beginning to see the benefits of this technology and the role it can play in increasing sales.
